How the PTE to IELTS conversion works
PTE Academic reports an overall score from 10 to 90 on the Global Scale of English. IELTS reports a band from 0 to 9. Because the two tests use different scales and score English in different ways, Pearson publishes a concordance that lines them up on a shared frame, alongside the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) level each range signals.
